Novel Reading On Target Responses and Due Dates
Homework is an important part of a student’s total educational program and an extension of the instructional day. Homework will be assigned daily, with an average of no more than 20 minutes of homework per evening. This includes daily assignments and ongoing projects. Homework will be graded for one or more of the following purposes:
Extra Credit - Extra credit is available and will add points to a student's average. Grades - Grades of notebooks, participation, projects, tests, quizzes and other activities will be averaged. A leveled grade will be assigned as follows. 4 – Excel in grade standards - 90-100% 3 – Proficient in grade standards - 76-89% 2 - Below proficient in grade standards - 66-75% 1 - Well below proficient in grade standards - 55-65% Returned Work - Graded work should be placed in completed work folder. Assignment Notebooks - Assignment notebooks are a great way to keep track of homework. Assignment will be posted at mrsjsmith.weebly.com daily, as well given on the Smart board daily. Late Work - Accepted only ONE day late. Minus 5 points! |
